An EkSe board is a living investment. Crafted from active fibers, it breathes and responds to its environment. With minimal but disciplined care, the Tamarack grain will not only endure but deepen in character over decades of use.

The Ritual of Care

To maintain the structural integrity and the natural shimmer of the Larch, we recommend a simple monthly ritual:

 * Cleanse: Wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap. Never submerge; never expose to the duress of a dishwasher.

 * Hydrate: Once the surface appears matte, apply a generous coat of Larchsmith Board Butter.

 * Rest: Allow the oils to penetrate the vertical fibres overnight before buffing away the excess with a soft cloth.

The Workshop Refurbishment

As part of our commitment to the craft, every Larchsmith board is eligible for our Signature Refurbishment. If, after years of service, your board requires a professional restoration, it may be returned to our workshop. We will sand, buff, and re-season the timber to its original lustre—ensuring it remains a centrepiece for the next generation.
